Glendale, Ariz. - The group that started the hip hop movement in Arizona, Foot Klan Entertainment, has been selected as the opening act for the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee's "Countdown to Kickoff... 100 Days and Counting" event at Westgate City Center on Saturday, Oct. 27, beginning at 2 p.m.

The free event, which marks 100 days until Super Bowl XLII kicks off at University of Phoenix Stadium on Feb. 3, features headline entertainment from Sugar Ray as well as scheduled appearances by Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees Tony Dorsett, Merlin Olsen, Roger Wehrli and Larry Wilson. "Countdown to Kickoff" will also include Spike the Super Ball, interactive football games, cheerleader appearances, the first opportunity to purchase official Super Bowl XLII merchandise, food and more.

Foot Klan, which last performed at Westgate during Jordin Sparks' run for the American Idol crown, features Mr. and Miss Soul Train Darryl Khalid and Luciana Khalid and a group of talented, cutting-edge performers. Members of the Foot Klan Junior All-Stars and FK Elite dancers as well as performers from Khalid's Martial Arts, Bruce Goolsby from Sheryl Cooper's Destiny Dance Studio and others will join them.

In addition to opening the show from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on the main stage, Foot Klan will have regular performances from 3 to 6 p.m. at the event.

Foot Klan performed throughout 2007 and its 2008 calendar is filling up with corporate shows, club performances, fashion conventions and more. The group has been entertaining audiences worldwide for more than 17 years, with members dancing weekly on national television and at concerts, special events, sports venues and trade shows. They have performed with celebrities including Beyonce, The Black Eyed Peas, Keyshia Cole, Dwele, DJ Kool Herc, Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz and more.
This full-service, international award-winning group includes professional dancers, choreographers, champion martial artists and fitness trainers, college professors, videogame rendering artists, DJs, actors, models, rappers and singing artists.
